Welcome to Birmingham Walking Tour
The Big Brum Bonanza Walk (Welcome to Birmingham Walk) starts at the mediaeval centre around St Martin’s Church and the Bullring including the latest `shop till you drop’ iconic building of Selfridges. Follow the time line to Victorian Birmingham and the 21st century of Queen Elizabeth II. New Street, Victoria Square, Centenary Square and the Library of Birmingham, the ICC, Symphony Hall, Brindley Place. The walk finishes at Gas Street Basin to look at the canal system which played a major role in the industrialisation of the city – learn about Birmingham’s unique past, architectural heritage and the people who put Birmingham on the map. This is the ultimate Birmingham walk which can be used for any event.
Link this walk with a visit to the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and enjoy a spot of shopping or bite to eat in many of the local bars and cafes.
“Birmingham Tours offers the best walking guides in the city. An hour long tour of the city takes in the Victorian canals and the landmark 21st century Selfridges building. Another walk explores the city’s Jewellery Quarter, an area with a glittering past and a thriving present” – The Times Online
“Today’s tour was great and David was very friendly and knowledgeable, can you pass my thanks onto him. The volunteers commented that they learnt a great deal and really enjoyed their afternoon” – Lisa Robinson, Hospitality Manager and Volunteer Lead, Birmingham Children’s Hospital
“Hi All – I just wanted to say a very big thank you for your help and assistance in ensuring last week’s XE Winners had a very enjoyable stay in the UK. They were `blown away’ with what we arranged for them, which was only made possible with your input. Thanks again and I look forward to working with you all again very soon” – Project Manager, Jaguar Land Rover Global Events Team
