Birmingham School Bus Tour
Schools out for Easter! – last week beginning 14th March 2016 we did 3 school tours. Starting with Sundridge Primary School, Kingstanding we looked at Birmingham Transport – roads, canals, trains and planes with a short walk to Chamberlain Square to look at the Central Library being knocked down. Next day was Grendon Primary School with Mr Hedderley in charge and we had a great time talking about Brilliant Brum. The school also visited the Library of Birmingham and having a packed lunch with them were able to return to school early afternoon. Finally, Storywood School in Perry Common whose topic was the holiday show had a great tour of the city including checking our the knocking down of the central library. We were aiming to have a quick look at the Grand Atrium in New Street Station but we run out of time. The aim is for all the children to be proud of the city they live in, tell their family and friends and become Brummie Boasters!
